We had roasted garlic at the hotel cafe when we were on our honeymoon. It was delicious. They brought it to the table with small squares of toasted bread. Garlic becomes milder the longer it is cooked. I have a terra-cotta garlic roaster that I use for this. It is very easy to do but the results are amazing.
Ingredients
5 heads garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
Method
1. Slice the top off each head of garlic and place in the garlic roaster. Drizzle each head with olive oil.
2. Cover and bake at 350? for about an hour. The cloves will begin to squeeze themselves out of the head when it is done.
3. Serve on toast points, crackers, and pita bread.
