As part of the experiential learning process students work is posted for comment. Feedback in the comments section is enthusiastically requested. My apologies for requiring users to be logged in the amount of spam was extensive.
This particular project was an attempt to expand on some of my other work with virtual clusters and the National Cyber Range by a group of my students. They didn’t get as far as we would have liked hampered by older equipment, a change in direction, and general issues. However, the product they produced was quite interesting.
From the abstract:
Given the basic guidelines provided by the DARPA BAA request 08-43 a prototype is developed for consideration. From the series of questions and answering them in Phase 1, derived requirements are established. This is used to develop a prototype for testing as a small scale test bed. Using the derived requirements a test plan, combined design, and software are analyzed to approach implementation. Collectively, the approach was to virtualize the environment to provide the most cohesive formation with materials provided.
