Privacy Policy
We do not do pop-ups, sell advertising, or use visitor tracking tools. WordPress does use some tracking cookies so if you have a problem with that don’t access this website. We do not give a rat’s ass about your personal information and we are not going to protect it so we don’t collect it. To whit we collect only the technical details to facilitate access as required to administer the technology of the website. Tracking information includes EVERY IP address, geo-location data of the IP, whether it is being referred, is a hop point/proxy, or is behind a service IP like NAT/PAT. We block most TOR/Proxy/hostile proxy garbage by default. This website costs the owners money to operate and maintain and there is no cost or commercial gain from maintaining the website.
We don’t allow comments or other than owner posts on this website. If you are a jerk online, attack the website, attack the host, dox the owners, or slander someone and they want your IP address they can have it. If you are scoping out the website and attack it we will drill down on the IP address, hand it over to law enforcement and even post it in a public area as a hostile IP address. If it isn’t you to bad. We are not here to protect you from lawsuits. This may (not likely) change, as noted above.
GDPR Statement
As of May 1, 2018 all non-owner user comments and articles have been affiliated with a contributor account and pseudo anonymized. Similarly all future sign ups to comment or post articles have been disabled. The user database has been deleted and wiped from various archives and back ups. Textual data found in comments or articles remains currently but is being reviewed for possible deletion in the future. File storage of documents and pdf’s are being reviewed and will be deleted where consent to post was not a requirement at the time. Some names, user names, email addresses that may lead to identity can be found in article contents at this time. Those are being reviewed and deleted where/when found. Cross posted content with various commercial providers (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) has been deleted as thoroughly as possible. Various social media profiles listed as “selil”, or “Sam Liles” have ceased publication and requests have been generated to delete the profiles on the providers servers.

The owners of this site have previously been affiliated with specific universities and employers. However, the site, the content, the links provided are not to be associated with any specific university or employer policies or positions. The materials as presented are the expression of the specific authors. Since two of the owners of this website were at times professors the students (of either owner/professor or other professors) should know that normal FERPA protections do not apply, and while using or otherwise accessing this site FERPA does not apply. This website is maintained by the former professors but not affiliated or supported by either professors previous university or current employer.

This website was made as an experiment in radical transparency in 1997 and was overtaken by the political processes of another nation in 2018. For that reason content is going to slowly start disappearing forever. I don’t know how long it will take, but it is going to happen. Since much of the content is time/topical that should not cause to many issues. The website is no longer indexed by any of the Internet archives.
If any provision of these Terms of Use is held invalid or unenforceable in any respect by any court having competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of these Terms of Use shall continue in full force and effect.
